Ben & Christina

Gosh, a week ago we were in California and enjoying the sites, weather, family and friends. Can we rewind and do it all over again?

Here is a picture of the sweet bride and groom on their happy day! They are vacationing and relaxing in Hawaii right now- what a way to continue the celebration!

We love you Ben & Christina!

The Ocean & Audrey

Audrey got to experience the ocean with all of her young senses! Within minutes of being on the sand she took a big handful of that gritty stuff and put it in her mouth. Why? Why? What is a parent to do when there is not fresh water within miles? So, we tried to get as much as we could out and continued the beach experience- why stress about it when she didn't seem to mind in the least?

You could definitely tell this was our first experience with a toddler at the beach b/c we put her down in the water and within seconds (the first wave) she is rolling completely over underneath a wave! Good thing my baby isn't afraid of water because it didn't phase her in the least. On to more beach experience: the rest of it was less eventful and pretty enjoyable until trying to get a sandy, gritty girl into a car seat- luckily it was all a rental and I didn't mind getting the car and carseat sandy and gross!

Moral of the story: The beach and ocean were fun and good to document with a camera but the pool is easy and of course for us Kansans accessible!

To cross off or not to cross off?

This morning has been a productive morning! My Dear Mother in-law took Audrey to the park and other outings with her and cousin Garrett visiting from KC. So, I had a morning of checking things off my to do list. Nothing excites me more than crossing that line off! Well, I have reached my first to do that won't get checked off- and I think it's silly why it won't.

My first thing to do during nap time was to check us in on-line for our flight to San Diego tomorrow morning- but I got stopped in my tracks when this message popped up after entering my info:

Online Flight Check-In is not available for passengers traveling with an infant. Airport check-in is required. Please see a Midwest Airlines or Midwest Connect Customer Service Representative for airport check-in and boarding pass.We look forward to welcoming you aboard! Message Code: 327

Seriously- come on- shouldn't parents with children be able to check in on-line? It would save a lot of headache for the parents not to mention the other travelers in the airport wondering and fretting if that toddler will be on their flight and heaven forbide sit right next to them.

Well, that's the way it is. I'll go ahead and cross it off- why not, it looks like I've accomplished one more thing today and I like that feeling!

And what person would not want to sit by this little lady in an airplane for three hours straight?

My Brother Ben

Well, in less than a week my middle brother Ben will be married to Christina Searing! That means two brothers married and one to go (which is next summer)! I am so happy for Ben meeting the love of his life. Christina has really swept Ben off his feet and I think he did the same to her! It's a match made only by God and I am just so thankful my brothers have found such wonderful women to marry.

Here's Ben and I getting jiggy at a wedding some 5 years ago. I have to say we had some moves that night!

Congrats Ben ~ I love you!

Sister!

Beautiful

Beautiful baby with a beautiful view! This was Audrey's first trip to Colorado and Estes Park- her first trip to see those awesome mountains. I sure wish my Grandpa Colyn could have been with us to give us each little detail about every little bird, animal and trail. Although now~ he has the best view of all!

Audrey was in her pack on Daddy's back. This was a great place for her- no dirt to eat, no rocks to fall on and she couldn't run away.

Why Not?
