Baby to Little Boy in 30 mins

The first hair cut!  I loved my boys curls- they were adorable and he always got compliments on his hair and I will miss those ringlets.  But... it was time for his first cut.

Talk about a mug shot
Just a few of the precious curls- there was LOTS of hair on the floor.  I tried not to cry.
Oh, it laid so nice in the back!
Ike & Debbie.  Debbie gave Audrey her first hair cut too!

Audrey showed Ike right where the candy was.  And he sat so still (Tornado F5 was calm- you know the calm before the storm) and really deserved sucker!
Thanks Debbie!  Ike- you are a little boy now, gosh how he changed so much in just 30 minutes!

Baby Hudson

We have a new nephew & cousin!
Hudson Luke arrived Wednesday morning to my brother & his wife.

We got balloons & went to meet that new little/big (9 lbs 4 oz) guy.

He has two very proud sisters & one very proud brother to welcome him home.

Praise God for the MIRACLE of life.

The F5 Tornado

We have affectionately given Isaac the nickname Tornado or F5 for obvious reasons.  see below.

he's on the table, he climbs onto the chair and then on up.  all within 5.2 seconds

when eating- most ends up on the floor and in his curly locks.
He grabbed a coffee pod that Daddy had just put in the trashcan and destroyed it on the floor.  He had been up for maybe 10 minutes when this pic was snapped.
This is fairly innocent until he falls over backwards and hits his head about 5 times in a row.
In this picture he has my toothbrush in his mouth with about 10feet of toliet paper around his foot.

Just destroying our bathroom.  He still likes the pink sticks.  :)
Destroying the hall bathroom.  Why not?
Again destroying the hall bathroom.
Climbing up a stool and turning on the faucet.
This is the storage area off my laundry room.  He helped himself to the swimming tub.
Taking each piece of nice printer paper out and throwing them across the floor-- because he can.
Oh Ike- you are something.  You are a handfull but a sweet handfull that I love so much, but could you do me a small favor- PLAY WITH YOUR TOYS and quit wrecking Momma's house.

A Little Organizer

I guess you could call it like mother, like daughter.  You could call it being anal.  You could call it sad.  You could be glad she wants to be organized.  Well, whatever you wanna call it- it's just her.

I bought a package of Silly Bandz for Audrey at our local fun store - where you can tan, rent a movie, get a latte, order a pizza or sandwich, get a big fat soda or an iced coffee- ALL in one store- anyway that's a post all it's own.  She got several ziplocks out- one for each color and organized them- all by herself.  It was quite cute.

A BIG Hit

It was a big day in the life of our three year old.  She's been counting down the days for some time now and today was finally here and it was a BIG HIT!

The night before- backpack ready and only one link left!
Her chair decorated for breakfast
Roman & Audrey

Inside their classroom- happy as clams
After I told Audrey bye- she ran over to the door where Ike was sitting (caged in his stroller) and gave him a kiss & a hug.  Ah, she can be nice.  :-)
After the first day- they all came out with balloons in their hands- it was pretty sweet!

Wordless Wednesday- explained

Some of you have said they want the story behind this picture revealed.  Well, there isn't much of a story- just that he fell (a slow, not hurt fall) and then laid there and cried.  And yes, like the good mother I am - before picking him up and comforting him- I ran for my camera to get this shot.

Rodeo Parade

The third Friday in July is our town's Rodeo Parade.  It's a fun filled small town weekend with the parade and then a rodeo each night of the weekend.  Here's our family supporting Pops as County Commissioner.

We threw red balls that had Pops name on them.
Isaac in the pickup getting a cool off break.  It was SO HOT!
Audrey getting her cool off!
After the parade at Uncle Luke & Aunt Robyn's house filling their faces with candy!

St. Louis

On our way home we drove from the Smoky Mts to St. Louis and were ready for a stop. Luke & Robyn's family stopped at a friends for a visit so the Swaggarwagon with Mima & Pops stopped in St. Louis. We pricelined a room on C's phone an hour out and scored two rooms at the St. Louis Union Station. It was a fun last night of vacation life.

{went to eat at Landry's Seafood}
{Audrey's first ride on the Metro Train}
{walk to the arch}
{the arch}
{we (minus Audrey & Ike) had all seen the arch several times and each time it's still amazing}
{touching it}
{getting the FULL effect}
{a ride on Daddy}
{here comes the Metro}

Smoky Mts (part 5)

Sorry for all these vacation pics- they are detailed but I need to document for my own memory.

Pops found this shallow river with a beautiful picnic area at each spot and we spent our last day just chilling in the river.  It was a lot of fun.

{Daddy & Audrey at the river}
{Ike & Pops}
{family of 4}
{Ike following an ant around}
{cute bro & sis shot}
{mima enjoying a book by the stream}
{the assembly line getting the kids to safety}
{Halle got stung by a bee, she was pretty sad for awhile}
{enjoying a juicy watermelon}
