Audrey- 9 months

It's so fun to look back and see what Audrey looked like when she was Isaac's age. Here she is at 9 months.

"I'm saying butt Mommy"

As Audrey was standing in timeout today (for unrelated issues)- she was saying "butt, butt, butt"- then she said (like I didn't hear her) "I'm saying butt Mommy, Mommmmmyyyy I'm saying BUTT". 

Seriously.

Nine Months!

I think I've said this each month- I can't believe you are getting so big!

You are just really changing!  You...

*  love to pull your hair when you are drinking your bottle or you love to play with & pull Mommy's
*  crawl everywhere and pull up on anything
*  squint and do this cute smile with your eyes
*  get so MAD when your sister takes your toys
*  say "Momma" when you are pathetic and or just need something
*  cut your first tooth with love on Valentine's Day
*  went swimming for the first time last week- you were a fan

You are my boy.  I love you so much!

Stories like THIS put life in perspective.  Stories like this make me think- a lot.  Stories like this make me hug my baby a little tighter.  Stories like this make me cuddle a little longer.  Stories like this make me put down the swifer and pick up a toy and play.  Stories like this make me cry (so grab your Kleenex).  Stories like this leave my knees weak and my palms wet.  Stories like this make me thank God for each blessing He has given me.  Stories like this make me ask God for His help in training and nurturing His children.  Stories like this put life in perspective.  Stories like this make me think- a lot. 

Miracles like THIS leave me speechless.

Comfies

For the past 5 months or so Audrey has lived in her "comfies".  When her body is inside this house- she's wearing this pink tank top and these pink Gap sweats.  Yes, even in the cold winter we've had she remains in her tank top- why? probably b/c when I'm home I'm in sweats and a tank top too. (we keep our house quite warm)  Like mother Like Daughter.  While going through pictures there are SO MANY of her in this same set of clothes I knew it deserved to be digitally scrapped.

6 more weeks

Since Punxsutawney Phil says 6 more weeks of winter. I needed a weather pick me up. I came across some pages I had done of Audrey this past spring which was the perfect way to lift my spirits in these deep days of winter.

Who knew?

A few months ago I learned a trick that's helpful when making and preparing mashed potatoes- which we have at our house quite often!

Good ole' Melissa D'Arabian on Food Network said you can peal your potatoes and then let them sit in water until you are ready to cook them.  Who knew?  I sure didn't.  So, I peal away during kids nap time and then cook and mash right before dinner so they are fresh, light and fluffy!
