It's that time

It's HARVEST time!  One of my favorite times of year. 

Anticipation...

 they can't wait...

 for this!

 All Aboard.  5 kids under 6 & Pops in one combine.  They combined beans for about 45 minutes and couldn't not smiling! 

 I just had to throw this picture in.  She hung out with Mima & I while the big kids were farmers and didn't even open an eye to see where she was ~ oh the life of an almost 4 week old.

 Before Caroline was born I thought Isaac was pretty little.  Not so much any more.



Well worth it

So, besides the fact that I get a beautiful baby girl after a long, hot 9 months of pregnancy I (I mean we) also have been very loved the past two weeks with an abundance of exceptional dinners & desserts.  We are so blessed with amazing church people & friends who can cook & bake very very well!

Here's two desserts that I pretty much all by myself.....

this is a Blackbottom Pie- it's famous- I'm serious.

 this is a fresh peach pie that is really yummy all by itself but I found it really

REALLY yummy with vanilla ice cream.  It was best eaten around 9pm in the evening with Caroline on my chest snoozing.  (yes, I was careful not to dribble the gooey yumminess on her) 

Those are just two of MANY MANY wonderful things we have had.  I think I am forgetting how to cook a meal for my family but for right now- I'm ok with that.

Definitely worth the wait.

Two Weeks

This little lady is two weeks old today.  Hard to believe but yet at the same time feels like we've never lived life without her.

All in a Day

Caroline's first 24 hours (and a few hours still in utero):

16 hours before.  

 Morning of Caroline's birth.  Less than 4 hours before. 

 She's here! 

 Man, I was so happy!
