4 year appt

At Audrey's four year check up.  She weighed 40 lbs and was 44 inches tall.  She was such a good little patient.

My Little Blue

This is my little blue camera that makes his home in my purse.  He's faithful and takes fairly good pics.
This is my "good camera".  It takes amazing shots for its user being an ameteur.  I need to take a class on my Canon Rebel- I have had this camera since Audrey was 6 weeks old.
So in celebrating my little blue camera that captures the moments when my big Canon isn't available I thought I'd share a few from last week.  We had to take a dreaded trip over to Walmart.  All Audrey wanted to do was go to the floral section to smell some flowers.  Poor girl just needs a dose of spring and I did to I we went and smelled.
And of course she had to pose.
As I was waiting on Audrey to wash her hands in the restroom, I let Ike walk to the cart and on the way there he grabbed this sign and made a hat of it.  It had many people laughing and I'm just glad little blue was on top of my purse ready to shoot.

Quick, get dressed!

It was 4:30pm.  I needed to go to the store.  I was craving a certain something for dinner.  So, I told Audrey "quick, get dressed".  She did as she was told- what a good girl.  Then, I saw what she was wearing and this was it:  pajama fleece pants, a summer sleeveless green dress, a stain ridden white shirt thankfully with her pink puffer coat over it, silver flats, too big mittens and an adorable hat.  Separtely each piece is quite cute (minus the white t-shirt) but together this outfit was pretty hideous.  But, she had clothes on and I was just thankful for that.  So, off we went.  She got many comments from happy shoppers.
And in the end Momma's tummy was happy.  Cause we know if Momma ain't happy- noone is.

A Birthday Prayer

Audrey (with a lot of the help from her Daddy) said the prayer at her birthday fiesta and it went something like this:

"Thank you for my birthday.  Thank you for this food and thank you for the baby in Mommy's tummy!"

She got stage fright and didn't want to talk but now she won't stop saying her prayer!  Here we are right before sharing our exciting news!

Audrey FiEsTa!

Audrey came up with the idea of having a Fiesta for her birthday party.  So, we went with it.

The invitation
Cake, cupcakes & cookies
The greeter {aka Pops}
Decorations & drinks
Three cute girls.
Eating El Canelo Fajitas
Blowing out FOUR candles!
Ike wanted a turn. (what's a birthday cake without lots of spit on the top?)
Gotta have a pinata.
Eating her cupcake - or should I say eating the frosting.
The kiddos that helped Audrey celebrate!
What a great fiesta it was!  Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet girl!

The Great ToothLESS wonder

March 1st proved to be a rough day for Ike.  He proved tough through it all.
In true toddler fashion he tripped on his own two feet, fell to his knees then his mouth made direct contact with the cement sidewalk.  A cracked front tooth.  A home ER visit from Daddy, then directly to our dentist here in town which sent his x-rays to a Pedi Surgeon in Topeka and she wanted us down in Topeka immediately.  So, off we went.  Isaac is not happy but not really upset- he was fairly calm throughout the entire process- he just liked gathering the stickers from each office visit.  :-)
It was determined that the tooth was cracked all the way up to the root and on the backside as well which meant the tooth could not be saved, it had to be pulled.  So, off Ike went without us, just in the care of the dental staff (who were exceptional) and after some laughing gas, a movie, some sweet cute nurses the tooth was pulled and after a little bit we were reunited with our toothless wonder who had another bag of goodies, a balloon and more stickers than he knew what to do with.
There's that booger of a tooth- root and all.  One tooth is not going to slow this boy down, he'still eating well and a lot (even ate some chips tonight) and is still doing normal Ike activities.  Gotta love that!
