Desperation

I bought this book on amazon the other day out of sheer desperation. (see pics below) I am hoping there are some magic activities that keep this busy little toddler occupied for at least ten minutes at a time. (she won't watch tv or dvd's for more than 10 mins -max)

Oh, it'd be fun to dump the box of Rice Krispies down the sink and then push them down the drain.
Oh, it'd be fun to take a shower with Mommy because she really doesn't need 3 minutes of alone time anyway. (Audrey with her hair in a towel just like Mommy does after her shower)

Oh, fun, let's pull all the floss out. Mommy just bought this new one because she's going through floss really quickly with it being corn on the cob season.

Oh, she's a spicy one! She can be so sweet and then she can just be pretty stinky ~ biting, scratching, hitting oh you name it! Gosh, I know why this parenting job is the hardest job ever! It can be just sweet as ever and then it can just be as hard as ever!

Topeka Trip

Nana and Poppa took Audrey to Topeka the other day for a day of fun. They explored the Ward Mead Park, the Gage park, went to lunch and did some shopping! Can't get much better than that! Thanks Nana & Poppa for a great day for Audrey and for a quiet, calm day with my sweet little guy!

OUCH!

Too small flip flops on the WRONG feet going down three cement steps proved to be a not so good idea.

2 months old

Hard to believe our little man is 2 months old already. Seems like he's been with us forever. We couldn't ask for a better baby. His smiles just make me melt!

The only thing I ask is for time to slooooowwww down!

Good Idea (I think)

Personally I think this is a good idea- but that's just me.
I'm not a fan of buying 2, 3 and even 4 dollar cards- that's just hard for me. So, when we got married I came up with this idea: (let's just say Chris was in TOTAL agreeance on this idea)

* items needed: blank book and a pen

* for birthday's holiday's, anniversaries- any occasion that would warrant a card you go and write in the book- that's it.

* not only do we write "sweet nothings" in the book-- we write what we did to celebrate that ocassion

What I like most about this idea is:
--it costs nothing (after you buy the book which shouldn't be much)
--looking back and reading what we did in years past for certain occasions and... the sweet one liners are always nice to read too :-)
--it's just easy!

So Cute and so Two!

Oh, I am just eating up these smiles! So fun and so cute!
Why does she have to color more on her body than the paper I have provided for her? Might I add that this is Sharpie marker and yes this is on two different days! No more Sharpie for this young tot!

4th of July(part IV): Water Park

Well, close- it's Great Wolf Lodge Pops & MiMa's style. It actually is an old horse tank. But, whatever it is: it's FUN!

{Pops started a big water fight. He ended up getting in the pool with his clothes on. Yes, he's a big kid.}
{Pops seeking shelter from the hose and some wild kids!}
{The trampoline. They would jump a little and then swim a little.}

{There was even a night swim. Uncle Luke & Daddy brought buckets of hot water out to make the water warmer.}

Harvest Time

This past 4th of July weekend we went out to visit Pops in the field and Halle, Roman & Audrey got a ride in the combine with Pops and Uncle Luke.
What a beautiful time of year!

4th of July(part III): A visit from CO

Kayla & Kyle ~ we sure enjoyed your visit from Colorado.
Hopefully we'll see you soon!

4th of July(part II): meeting a younger lady

This is Isaac Christian meeting Zoe Lynnae for the first time.

{Isaac is sucking on Zoe's head and Zoe is sucking on Isaac's hand}

{ Cuddle with me. Yes, they were spooning- nothing cuter than a baby spoon!}

4th of July(part I): blueberry pickin'

2nd annual blueberry picking on the 4th of July! I just love this tradition. Halle, Roman, MiMa and Aunt Christy got to experience the fun this year with us too. My favorite part was when Halle yelled down the row "hey, Aunt Kara ~ I found a jackpot!"
