It's so ugly...

Pops drew this for Audrey. It's supposed to be a giraffe. Audrey asked him to draw her one and so he did and this was the result. She thought it was a wonderful giraffe and really that's all that matters!
I think I got my drawing skills from my Dad because this is a masterpiece compared to what I'd come up with. 

A subtle hint

Recently MiMa & Pops and Nana & Poppa each got a bag with a little Audrey toothbrush in it. Just a subtle hint they need to have Audrey over for more sleepovers.  No, not really I just thought this would be handy to have at each location so I don't have to worry about forgetting to pack it when she has those special sleepovers. 

Eight Months

At 8 months you:

* pull your way to where you want to go
* say “m and n” babbling sounds
* take two good naps & go to bed a little after 7
* wake up once to eat in the night
* still get spooked with loud noises
* are getting on your knees wanting to stand up
* like sweet potatoes, but not peas
* cereal is slowly becoming a love
* lay your head on Mommy’s shoulder in such a sweet way
* if Mommy & you are on the floor playing- you have to be in my lap, not beside me

A Young Wildcat Fan

The K-State Wildcats are treating us to a fun basketball season thus far.  We can only hope it continues.  My parents, some good K-State friends here in S-town and us all split two season tickets.  It's about perfect really- we get a good amount of games without feeling like we are always on the road to Manhattan. 

Audrey got to enjoy her first game this season and she really had fun.  She didn't care much about the men on the court like Daddy does but she kept her eye GLUED on Willie.  Maybe next season we'll get a pic of her and Willie together- she likes him from afar and that's about it.

You may think I'm the organized one...

but THINK AGAIN!  I guess we're both organizational geeks. 
When I returned home from California and opened the refrigerator- this is what I saw...
{yes, those are sticky notes telling us or me where food should go} 

Yep, my good husband is an organizer as well! 

Not Really a Fan

Lindsay's Lily & My Isaac ~ the battle of the peas!  Who will like them first? or never?  I have faith that they will BOTH grow to love these green homemade beauties.

Here are a couple pages from one Christmas.  For C's side of the family we went to Crown Center.  That place just screams Christmas so it was a perfect time to go.

It was the perfect weekend to head out to CA - it was 3 degrees when we left KC and 70 when we got to CA.  Not too shabby.  It was lovely.  Thanks to Ben & Christina for the great weekend.  It was just what this Kansas cold Mommy needed.

2010 ~ day
