I can only wish

this boy would be potty trained as early as his sister.

More details for those that are interested:
Ike is not potty trained.  Santa brought him big boy undies in his stocking b/c Santa thinks that boys undies are one of the cutest things.  So, his sister (yes, she's in a swimming suit on a single digit day) and his Mommy put the undies on him.  He likes them a lot better than his diaper but he's only worn them for about 10 minutes total.  He has expressed "a little" of interest in big potties and so he's gone once but that's it.  I'm not holding my breath or trying too hard- that is until HE's ready! :-)  Cause as soon as he's ready - his Momma is too!

She & He

She gets to do this....
 and he just gets to stand at the door and watch his Sister play with the neighbor kids.  {and yes, he put the hat on himself}

Cute Crack

Cracks aren't cute but I'd say this one comes darn close to cute.

What new toys?

Seriously wasn't Christmas not even a month ago?  Here they are NOT playing with all the new toys they got- just playing in the sink.  I guess we should have given Ike a scrub brush and Audrey a wash cloth.  It probably would have gotten more use than the toys they did get.

matter of fact

Sunday evening Chris had the tape measure out and was measuring some things around the house.  Audrey asked him to measure her which he did.  She came running up to me telling me how tall she was and I said "how'd you get that tall?" and without a beat she said "God just growed me up"!
Oh, I loved her response b/c she's so right!

Sensory Tubs

We have two sensory tubs.  That's it.  They were simple to make.  One is beans and one is pasta.  I thought I would share a good site for many more creative ideas! Her tubs are just simply amazing.

Lifesaver

On Monday when the snow was 6 inches deep outside I got out reinforcements.  I had bought stuff for a pasta sensory tub a few weeks ago but was just waiting for the right moment.  Monday was it.  We were going to be inside for a few days and Momma needed something for these two to do.  It worked.  They played and all was well (well, until Ike started chuckin' penne pasta at his sister).

Celebrating 83

My spunky, sweet Grandma celebrated her 83rd birthday right before Christmas.  So, we celebrated when everything settled down.  It was a lunch party, complete with chicken tetrazinni (a dish Gma always made us), a veggie for good measure and a strawberry cake!  We invited Roman, Izzy & Hudson and their Mommy Robyn over and had ourselves a good ole' party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA & GG!  WE LOVE YOU!

Snow Breakfast

Audrey eats snow any chance she can, on the ground, on the bottoms of shoes, run over tire tred snow- anykind- she loves it!
So, last year in the big snow she got a snow breakfast and that was the first thing she asked for in this snow.
When they wake up in the morning- they are so sweet to each.  Not sure what happens 5 minutes after the sweetness but something!

Dress Up!

Probably like most little girls Audrey loves to dress up.
I had fun scrapping her in her various outfits.
