Our Little Boy

We often get asked "how's three?"  Well, the answer is short and simple- three is great- really it is.  It's WAY more busy than two (but two was WAY more busy than one- yes God, I get the picture).  But, three is pretty crazy right now and one big reason is because of our energetic, ornery but oh so cute BOY!  If we didn't have this little man life would be oh so boring- and really who wants that?

Here's a look at Ike the last few weeks:

Sometimes you need two binkies.  Just sometimes.  {I thought this was pretty inventive.}
He's into not smiling- just being silly boy.
Not sure how this smile happened but it did.
Bath time with lots of bubbles.  I think this was the night he managed to pour in over half the bottle of J&J baby soap in the tub.

Naked tractors.  He was playing so well I really didn't care he was naked.  This might have been the day he pee'd in the corner of the laundry room.  Nice.
Finger paints.  No constructive pictures just a big mess.
A cowboy with a tutu.  Whatever.
One of Isaac's favorite thing to do was to mow with Daddy.  He'd get his little pink mower out and mow the almost the entire yard with Daddy.
Oh Isaac, you are so much fun, so darn cute and just all boy- minus the tutu's and the pink mowers.

Potentials

Lots of potential Halloween costumes.

a pretty pink princess- nope not on my boy!
Cute but the tongue needs to go.
 A singing purple princess.
A half bee, half pea pod.
 Richard Simmons?  I think not.
A pirate.  She's too cute to be a pirate.
A half naked spider?  Been there, done that.
 Mary Lou Retton?

First ride

A few weeks ago we made our first ride/walk to the park.  I made it home with all three kids so I considered it a great success.

Twin Toes

Yep, our baby girl has twin toes!  What a special trait to have passed down to her from my mom, then me and now Caroline.
She has them on both feet but her right is much more dominate.

I know, I've passed down such a beautiful trait to you.  You are welcome sweetie

ONE month

October 1, 2011
One month old.

Your first hour of life.
You really enjoy being outside.  You were getting some sun treatment for jaundice
which was doctor/daddy ordered.
When you are asleep in your carseat you sleep with your mouth open. (gravity must win)
You like to sleep with your hands up by your face.  *sweet*
You dislike being cold (just like your mother), so when you get a little mad your bottom lip comes out.  This reminds us of your brother.
 You like your baths.
You like to be in your swing (most of the time).
We call you "noodle" because you are just that- a noodle.  Your head control is not as strong as your sister & brothers were.  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that for 37 weeks you were sitting up right in Mommy and not head down like you were supposed to be?  (just a hypothesis)
Again... proof of our noodle girl.
We try to give you as much tummy time as we can but that has to be built around when your brother is contained and somewhat controlled.
Your sister giving you your first bottle of breast milk on your one month birthday.  You took it quite well and Audrey was as pleased as punch to be feeding you.
 One month old.
 Sweet sisters.
Other note worthy facts:
*  you are in size 1 diapers now.
*  you have had plenty of blowouts
*  you have been to Topeka, Manhattan & an overnight in the Hyatt in downtown KC
*  you have been to church 4 times, we even went the Sunday after you were born (which made you 3 days old at the time)
*  you've been on several stroller rides
*  you still sleep in Mommy & Daddy's room in the bassinet
*  you get up (usually) twice a night- sometimes it's only once
*  you are a wonderful nurser- you get on and go to town-  you just are good!
*  you attended your first parade (Homecoming) and slept the entire time
*  your Mommy really loves holding you and sometimes has to be told to put you down

We love you Caroline.  You are our sweet baby girl- forever and ever!
