Small Town Traffic Jam

This is what we call a traffic jam in S-town! Isn't it great?
Audrey and I went to see Pops in line at the Coop waiting to unload the wheat.

FINALLY

I finally was able to purchase something from CORA's Etsy store. They sell out so quickly ~ and I was always too late. Cora is the little girl who died when she was 11 months old and I've been following her Mommy's blog ever since Cora was sick. All proceeds from Cora's store go towards Cora's Playground at the church her parents attend. This cute little onesie was made by Cora's Mommy and Grandma. Isaac Christian will look adorable in it for 4th of July.

Bustin' out the MJ

Yep! I'm a fan. It had been awhile (too long) since I had my Michael Jackson cd's out but they are out now and I'm enjoying the tunes. That guy had some beat!

Nurse Maids Elbow

Well, it's a first! I was escorting Audrey Kathleen to time out this morning and she did the "dead fish" move on me and I kept hold of her arm. I immediately thought to myself that I shouldn't have kept hold but I did. She held her arm to her side for the next couple hours and watched twenty minutes of tv on the couch without moving (which she NEVER does) so I called the clinic and they told us to come on up. Of course Daddy is out of town so he couldn't just come home and put it back in place. But, Dr. Kerry did it for us and it was very easy and Audrey was back to her normal self within minutes.

Times like these I just LOVE living in a small town. I remember reading a post from a friend who lives in the city and this exact same situation happened to her child. They sat in a busy ER for 4 HOURS before seeing a Doctor and then of course it takes the Doctor two minutes to get it back in place. Oh, I so appreciate our hospital, clinic and Physicians here ~ we have it so good!

To read another reason whey small towns are wonderful- read my friend Vikkie's post on June 15th titled "I Heart Small Towns" - it's great!

Grow Garden Grow

Here's the 2009 garden. New to the Tramp Garden this year: herbs and sweet corn. We hope to pick the sweet corn before the raccoons do!

Audrey loves watching everything grow and can tell you that plants need water and sun to grow. We can't wait to reep the rewards soon!

Tomatoes and the herb garden.
Sweet Corn (we hope)

iTc

Audrey giving Dr. G (Dr. Kerry as AK says) a cookie.

I wanted something special for Audrey to do at the hospital- so the cookie idea came to me at 5am one morning about a week before he was born. I called "the cake lady" (Karen F.) up and gave her the super secret initials and she made these sweet treats for us. (I didn't figure Chris should be handing out cigars at the hospital where he works) Audrey had a blast handing these out and I had a blast eating them- I'm pretty sure I had a dozen all by myself.
I'd love another excuse to order some more....... (but then the baby weight would NEVER come off)

Hair Makeover

Audrey's first day swimming. Just one of the reasons we wanted to cut it off for the summer.

Isaac at the pool. I couldn't forget about him. Boys just have it easy- no hair problems to worry about.
After we combed it out. (out of order)

Look at this tangled MESS after pool time!

At the beauty shop (as Audrey calls it). Ready for the wash and the big cut.

Christy putting "bubbles" in Audrey's hair.

Cutting it off.......
Christy and Audrey. The final product! Audrey was super good to sit so still! Oh my gosh, I love it like this!
Audrey cheesing it up with gum in her mouth and a bow in her hair! Isn't that CUTE?

Jacob & Christy

This weekend in Kansas City my brother Jacob will be marrying Christy Beausir. The last of my brothers to tie the knot and I couldn't be happier to be gaining another wonderful sister in law. Chris is a groomsman and I'm a bridemaid and Audrey is a flower girl. Little Isaac will be sporting a tux as well and will sleep through most of the weekend I'm sure. We are excited for this weekend and I'll be sure to post pictures after we return home. Congrats Jacob & Christy- let the celebration begin!

Here's our first family photo. We were just about to leave the hospital. Isn't that just sweet? Ok, not so sweet- Audrey has our 28 hour old child in a headlock. Poor Isaac!
