Pizza

I know it's hard to beat the 10 dollar large pizza from Pizza Hut but here's an old standby (from my friend Laura and her Mom) that I just love and it gets high marks from my family as well!  Just don't do what Ike did a few nights ago and eat so much that you puke alllll over the floor.  Not cool son.

1 pkg Active Dry Yeast
3/4 cup warm water (dissolve yeast in warm water)
2 cups flour
1/4 cup oil
1 tsp. salt

Mix all dry ingredients together as much as you can, then add oil and work together with your hands.  Spread on pan and add ingredients.

Add pizza sauce, cheese, meat- whatever else you like on your pizza and bake on ungreased sheet at 500- yes 5 hundy for 12-15 minutes.

**I have a "special" pizza pan that has holes in it and that's the only thing I've ever made it on b/c it works so well.**

Strictly a Spectator

A couple weeks ago we took Isaac out to the course for some golf.  We strapped Tornado, I mean Ike into the golf cart in his car seat and enjoyed some holes.  He was more than content the entire time.

WORD Wednesday

You know you live in a small town when:

I go to the local hardware store and buy some light bulbs.  Later that day Chris walks into the same hardware store and puts light bulbs on the counter.  Tony, the owner of the store, says "are you sure you want these, your wife was just in here and bought some?"

It's about time

It's about time I finish Isaac's first year album- afterall he's 15 months old already.  So, these past few weeks I've been scrapping away and knocking out page after page.  I truly LOVE digital scrapbooking and I love it that Audrey already LOVES to look through the books I've made for her.  Soon Ike will too.

Here's why I haven't been blogging.  (these are only 4 layouts out of 100 of Ike's first year of life)

Old Time Saturday Night

I'm backtracking a bit b/c this was in August but I wanted to document it for my bad memory brain.

Our town's yearly tradition in August is Old Time Saturday Night.  It's a fun night for all ages.

Here are this years highlights:
Snow cones with cousins
The SHS cheerleaders face painting stand. Shoulders work too!
The final product, she was so proud!  Thanks Megan!
A train ride and smiles all around.  Probably the most well spent buck all summer.   It was a long ride and the excitement level was way up there.

A yummy ice cream cone for Ike.
He was caged in his stroller most of the evening and didn't seem to mind.  We did let him out for a quick moment and in seconds he managed to find a piece of chewed laffy taffy on the ground.  Thanks F5.
