Donald, Danny & Dreams

The Donald ~ Audrey K style.

Yes, I'm an American Idol junkie. Danny's performance last night was exceptional I thought.

DREAMS:
Gosh, pregnancy and dreams- they must go together. I have had this reoccuring dream for the past two years now and it revolves all around me having to go back to teaching and leaving Audrey behind. I wake up with just this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that I am not with her. It's really a bad dream for me and I wake up so relieved I GET to stay home with her. I think maybe this reoccuring dream is God's way of telling me to appreciate all the days and moments with her.

Who knows what I'll dream next, there's been some doozies alright.

Geez- he's HUGE!

My youngest brother Jacob trying to experience Kara's world for a brief moment. Wish I could fill that balloon with ten pounds of weight, give him some heartburn, cut off some of his airway and then see what he thinks of pregnancy.

Happy Earth Day!

In honor of Earth Day our life insurance company sent us these 3 HUGE documents in the mail today. You've got to be kidding- do they really expect us to read these things and why not just put them on the internet for us to access if we need them?
I feel like going out and planting a tree or three.....

A New Target

My very kind brothers have a new target and it's not me ~ it's my sweet, innocent daughter! They've turned the camera towards Audrey's cute little crackola instead of mine (for the time being). Growing up with 3 younger brothers I've learned to take lots of punishment and you'd think it would be over- NOPE. They still dish it out and I still take it - although with more laughing and less crying now!

First day of Daycare

This is Audrey this morning going to Rita's for her first day- just morning- of daycare. She was more than excited to be there and I got in the car just a little teary eyed but not too bad. She'll visit Rita's just one morning a week which will give Mommy some alone time now and then some alone time with our little man once he's here! I'd rather be cuddling with a newborn than scrubbing a dirty floor that's for sure but I'm enjoying my music and alone time.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Weekend! What a enormous sacrifice was made so many years ago- it's hard to fathom all that happened on the cross that Christ did just for us! Simply indescribable! I hope everyone enjoys sweet family time and a wonderful church service whereever your place of worship happens to be.
Little Audrey will be sporting this cute dress to church on Sunday. A lady named Wendy made it- I just love knowing that someone handstitched this dress! I went to bid on it at ebay and didn't get the bid so went on over to her site http://www.angelbabiescloset.com/ and found it on there for the same price I was bidding at, so I just bought it on there. It's been hanging in her closet for a good two months now so I'm excited for her to finally get to wear it. Since we live in unpredictable Kansas, I have a little pink sweater for her to wear over it since it looks to be a little chilly on Sunday- go figure.

Here's Audrey's Easter basket. A new tradition that I'm starting this year is putting a swimming suit in her Easter basket. I got this silly Ms. Potato Bunny at Alco last year for a mere $2.50 after the 75% off Easter sales! I might need to hit Alco again this year and see what bargains are available. It will be fun filling two baskets next year.

Have a sweet Easter!

Think it, but don't say it!

Ok, so this prego Momma is feeling quite large and in charge these days- no need to tell me- I FEEL IT!
A few days ago someone felt the need to just let me know. This person was a woman, I guess I would have felt better if it was a man- cause sometimes they just don't know better but this woman should have known better! Here's the conversation:

CW(clueless woman): When are you due again?
KT: End of May.
CW: Wow, THAT long, I thought you were due in just a couple weeks.
KT: trying to steer the conversation to something other than my pregnancy- but it didn't work.
CW: (looking right at my belly) This must be a good sized baby then huh?
KT: Well, I'm not sure but I feel like I'm carrying all out in front (just trying to make myself feel better).

I'm sure this won't be the end of the things to not say list. Stay tuned!

Weekend

Here's the bedding for our little baby boy. I picked out the fabric at this wicked fabric store in Lawrence called Sarah's. Then Carrie sewed the bumper and skirt for me- man, she's a talented lady. I'll show you the final final product in the crib once we get Audrey down in the basement. I just love it. Carrie brought it over this weekend all done and then we finalized carpet color and what color to paint the nursery- it is cute girly pink but will be changed to a khaki- kind of blah but practical and will look nice with our white furniture.

Audrey Kathleen's smiley face feet after 2 hours in church nursery on Sunday.
A Jesus is the light of the world tatoo from nursery too! She hit the jackpot on Sunday! I am so thankful for our wonderful nursery women and men that volunteer their time- they are just awesome and Audrey LOVES going to church which is one of the best feelings in the world for a parent.

Saturday we went to KC to pick up baby boy clothes from Aunt Casey and Uncle Blair. We knew they had a LOT but we didn't know they'd have this many clothes to give us! Chris and I went through them ALL on Saturday evening watching UNC play and got them all organized and into plastic tubs! What a great feeling! Here's the Murano loaded down.
