12 layer JeLLo
For Audrey's first birthday and for Isaac's first birthday I made 12 layer jello.
It's a big hit and is really good- but seriously sour cream makes everything yummy.
Here's the recipe:
6 pkg (3oz) of Jello, assorted colors
sour cream
water
Dissolve first box of Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water. Remove 1/2 cup of mixture and add 1/2 cup + 2 Tablespoons of sour cream to make 2/3 cup. Whisk till creamy. You should have approx 2/3 cup of clear Jell-O and 2/3 cup of Jell-O with sour cream. Pour the sour crem mixture into a clear rectangular dish (I used a 9 by 13). Refrigerate until set, approx. 30-40 mins. Pour clear Jell-O mixture on top and refrigerate until set. Start process again with each of the 5 remaining colors until you have 12 layers.
It does take a long time but is very easy and a crowd favorite.
